A Message from your editor Spring
Hi my name is Spring and I'm the co-editor of Midtown East News where we bring you the news from the people who live and work here.Now, here is the latest news regarding our salon team. We are very proud of Turbo who won last year's Platinum Pia for "Top Salon Stylist" and is now in the running for the biggest and most prestigious award for stylists in the Tri-State area: The Stylist of the Year Pia 2011. We are also excited to announce that we will be having a salon party called "Wine and Beauty" on September 10, 2011 in the salon. This event will involve participation of all team members as well as our clients and their various careers and businesses. Also present that evening will be Joy, who recently enlightened and educated us regarding the foundation of hair design.
WHAT IS A PLACE PEOPLE FROM THE COMMUNITY GATHER AND TALK?
A hair salon of course. I'm the manager and a stylist at the Dramatics NYC location on 2nd Avenue between 47th and 48th. They say that people tell their hairdresser everything and this may be true - though I'm never telling. Though I will say that a hair salon is a great headquarters for a news room because we hear everything about the community here first.
I have clients who I do cut, color and style for from a variety of backgrounds and interests that collectively have a broad and diverse overview on the Mid Town East community.
My plans for this publication is to tap the great minds and heads of hair all around me. As I help to make those who sit in my chair look and feel their best, I learn a lot about what's going on in the neighborhood. And now I will pass it on to you.
